I hope you are enjoying winter- and Happy Chinese New Year for folks who celebrate! February is here- I guess I am not blogging as much as I had hoped, but when you get busy you do what you can.
It is important when you are busy and in the midst of life to stop every once in a while and show yourself some self-care. As one of my yoga teachers, Adriene Mishler just said today even just taking a deep breath in and out for yourself can be self-care.
What practices do you enjoy that bring self-care for you? I enjoy yoga, journaling, scrapbooking, collage making, warm baths, reading a good book, and contemplation time. I also enjoy going to museums which we have done a lot of recently in Portland and back in Washington D.C. when we visited for the winter holidays. And being in nature, traveling, being with loved ones, and eating good food! Here are some photos of some our fall adventures!
I think self-care is so important in this month of love and every month actually because how can you give love to others when you can’t give love to yourself? Fill up those cups to be able to send some yummy warm beverages to others!
